Qingdao
Principals Program 2007
On January 26, the China Training Centre welcomed a group
of 18 Secondary Principals from Qingdao Shandong China for
a one week training program. The program consisted of numerous
specialised seminars on the 'best practices' of the SA education
system given by DECS education experts. The group enjoyed
school visits to Blackwood High School, Australian Science
and Mathematics School, Para Hills High School and Salisbury
East High School. The group also visited the Education Development
Centre and the SA Centre for Leaders in Education. The group
found their time in Adelaide to be educational and well spent
and made particular comment on the warm hospitality shown
from everyone involved. This is the 6th School Principals'
Training Program for Principals
from Qingdao.
Luwan
Public Sector Managment Group 2006
From September
to December 2006, we hosted a group of managers from
Shanghai Luwan District for a public sector management
training program. During their time in South Australia
the group attended numerous lectures and industry visits
and gained valuable work experience through work shadowing
at Local, State and Commonwealth Government agencies.
The group gained an insight into the Australian language,
culture and lifestyle through contact with work colleagues
and participating in many of the planned weekend activities
which included special trips to Kangaroo Island and
the Naracoorte Caves Heritage Site.
